My Furry Friends
I moved to the Asheville Area about 6 years ago and needed a groomer for my Westie. I found Lisa’s Dirty Dog Mobile Service.
She was good enough to let me observe in her little trailer and I loved how she was with my little Ashie. The cut was adorable and she was wonderful with Ashie. Lisa shifted from running a mobile service to working out of the shop she created attached to her house -- you better believe we shifted with her and make the trip from Fairview! I then adopted Monty, who had had a tough life prior to coming to his forever home with me. He had clearly suffered abuse and neglect. He had fear aggression around strangers, which is typically due to prior abuse. Lisa's gentle and loving touch quickly won Monty over -- he now goes into his "I love you" squeal when he sees her. I was floored when Lisa was able to comb out Monty's face in the tub and he stood there completely trusting her. Lisa's new shop is wonderful and the fact that she takes her time with each dog, and doesn't run a business where dogs are hurried through and sit endlessly in crates waiting their turns, is a rare find in my experience.
I value Lisa, her integrity, her skill, her professionalism and her gentle loving touch with my dogs. I recommend her unequivocally and with great pleasure.

“We just l-o-v-e our Auntie Lisa! Going to her for our puppy massages is the coolest thing. Our mommy picks up the leashes and tells us we’re going for our “fluff and buff!” Well, we know what that means and can hardly contain ourselves. When we arrive, we get to walk around the yard and sniff all the wonderful smells that only WE can smell. Naturally, we can’t resist and have to add a few smells of our own. Then we get to go inside and get all cuddled, snuggled, and played with. There’s even a great play pen with all kinds of squeakies. But the hard part is deciding who gets to have their spa date first. We both have decided that it’s only fair to alternate every month. Geez, when it’s all over, we just hate to leave. We’ve had such a good time and feel sooo refreshed. And mommy says we smell wonderful, too! Auntie Lisa is the woof-woof BESTEST!!!

We trust you with our doggies and know they are getting cared for as if you were the owner. And now for a few good words about The Dirty Dog Grooming Co................
We have two siberian huskies ~ one senior citizen male and one fiesty young female. With two of them you can imagine how the fur must fly at grooming time !! We have been customers of The Dirty Dog for over two years now and can honestly say Lisa is the best groomer we have every used. She shows true care and compassion for our older male who is a bit unsteady on his feet and loads of patience with the younger female. They always look so good, smell wonderful, & are very happy when we pick them up. The salon is always clean & sanitary which makes us feel good about the environment we're leaving them in. Also our dogs hate being put in cages, which is something they never have to worry about at the Dirty Dog. Lisa has created an enclosed area that they can relax in after their grooming, while waiting on us to pick them up ~ now that's a major plus !!! We are blessed to have found Lisa & would recommend her to anyone who wants the best care for their K-9's.

Our babies had their first official spa day with Lisa this year. Rudy had never had a real haircut, just those I’ve given him to reduce his “scruffiness” (which left a lot to be desired). We decided it was time to give him the treatment he deserves, and he looked like a prince when he came home! Lisa made him feel at ease, used such a gentle touch, and treated him as she would her own dog. He can’t wait to go back!
Grizz had his first official spa treatment after 13 years of being a “rough and tumble” kind of guy. We had gotten tired of constantly trying to remove the undercoat of a chow mix and asked Lisa to lend a hand. I was a little apprehensive about taking Grizz to a groomer as he hates for anyone to handle him. But Lisa was amazing with him, made him (and me) feel totally comfortable, and Grizz was a perfect gentleman (a behavior only brought out by Lisa!) When we left Lisa’s shop, he looked like a totally different dog; he was so silky, shiny, and pranced around for at least a week with his “new do”. You could honestly tell he felt better and so much cooler.
I am so grateful for the time and love Lisa gives to our dogs. I wouldn’t trust them with anyone else, and will never use another groomer!! She is the BEST!
